Hi
To finish the year strong, you have to plan to finish the year strong. Wishing and hoping is not a strategy.
Here is the fact. This week will see the coldest and earliest winter temperatures and storms on record. 12" of snow fell in Northern Michigan and it is spreading south and east as I write this.
Fact 2- the Christmas season is upon us. All the stores are decorated and the music and movies have begun.
Those 2 facts have an interesting effect on small business owners...they either shut down the year in their mind and actions or they ramp up to create momentum for next year. The choice is yours. Running with the wind at your back is always easier.
Here is how to get the wind at your back:
1. Create a 365 day marketing calendar-this ensures when winter cancels your event there is another not too far behind to take its place.
2. Do not mentally shut down for the holidays. Ramp up, create excitement and momentum
3. Put the finishing touches on your written goals
4. Write down the obstacles that are blocking you from achieving your goals
5. Create the action steps to destroy that which is blocking you
6. THINK BIGGER...BIGGER GOALS, BIGGER ACTION STEPS, BIGGER SERVICE, BIGGER LOVE, BIGGER HELPFULNESS, BIGGER EVERYTHING REGARDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
You heard it here first. Stay warm and drive carefully if you are in the snow! You can absolutely finish this year up strong!!
Obsessed with your success,
Paul Inselman
